Compared to the previous generation M1, the Pyro 7 features a larger 7-inch touchscreen display and enhanced capabilities such as dual L-series battery plates, a 1300-foot wireless transmission range, upgraded HollyOS video tools, SD card recording, HDMI/SDI input/output, RTSP streaming, and the ability for one Pyro 7 unit to transmit to up to four receivers. It also supports automatic dual-band 2.4/5 GHz operation and automatic frequency hopping technology, providing users with stable and reliable video transmission.
Broadcast Mode
The Pyro 7 features wireless broadcast technology. When activated, it allows one transmitter to connect to up to four receivers simultaneously, delivering a stable line-of-sight wireless signal. When Broadcast Mode is disabled, the transmitter can connect to up to two receivers and two mobile devices.
Large, Bright Display
The Pyro 7 boasts a 7-inch display with a brightness of 1200 cd/m², ensuring clear visibility both in bright sunlight and dimly lit environments. The screen brightness is also adjustable to guarantee optimal viewing.
Versatile I/O Interfaces
The Pyro 7 flexibly switches between transmitter and receiver modes. In transmitter mode, the device provides one HDMI input, one SDI input, one HDMI loop-out, and one SDI loop-out. In receiver mode, it offers one SDI output, one HDMI output, and one SDI loop-out.
Quick Source Switching
Using the Pyro series' preset grouping function, you can quickly connect multiple devices. With two customizable buttons, you can swiftly switch the monitoring view between two cameras.
Long-Range Transmission
Leveraging dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz technology, the Pyro 7 achieves a stable line-of-sight transmission range of up to 1300 feet, ensuring low latency of just 60ms without any loss in image quality. You can select "Smooth Mode" to ensure long-range, low-latency transmission, or "HD Mode" which optimizes image quality with a stable bitrate (up to 12 Mb/s), maintaining high quality even at the full 1300-foot range.
Auto Dual-Hop (ADH) Technology
The Pyro 7 is equipped with Auto Dual-Hop (ADH) and Automatic Frequency Hopping (AFH) technologies. It automatically selects the clearest channel within the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, ensuring stable and uninterrupted wireless video transmission. Omnidirectional high-gain antennas also ensure a stable signal from all directions.
RTMP Streaming
The Pyro 7 supports built-in RTMP streaming, allowing you to easily stream video directly to popular live streaming or conference platforms such as Zoom, YouTube Live, Twitch, and TikTok Live.
SD Card Recording Function
The Pyro 7 features an SD card slot, supporting video recording in mp4 format for single sessions of up to 40 minutes using a standard SD card. You can also use the SD card to import custom LUTs and apply them during video output. This functionality also supports file organization, simplifying the post-production workflow. Additionally, data from external devices can be imported for on-set snapshots, facilitating scene restoration or replication.
Video Tools
The shortcut keys on the Pyro 7 can be used for dual-screen monitoring and also allow quick access to video tools such as waveforms, recording, focus assist, and other video analysis functions, enhancing shooting efficiency.
Lightweight & Durable Design
The Pyro 7's housing is constructed from aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, making it robust and durable, while being 30% lighter than pure aluminum and offering better heat dissipation performance.
